5/22 - Mushroom Rissotto

Tonight's dinner was at quite the bougie venue - the lighting was set to "mood". and the music consisted of only the /finest/ of lo-fi remixes of pop songs, most likely to evade copyright infringement. While everything about the vibe may have been great, there was a single problem - seating. Our tables were at knee height for the entirety of dinner, and each of us ended up hunching over our food in a way that any reasonable passersby would have thought that all American tourists have scoliosis. Back problems aside, however, I had the pleasure of having had a wonderfully made mushroom risotto. Despite it having been completely vegetarian (something I would normally shy away from), it was actually very filling and didn't lack at all the umami flavor that one would normally seek in a meaty dish. Maybe vegetarianism really does have something to offer other than pretentious Lululemon organic suburban moms?

Nutritional Information
There's not much to say about this dish - to be honest, I'm not really surprised that there was so much fat in the risotto considering how good it tasted despite having no meat. One really can't be healthy and have it taste good at the same time I guess.
